Hi, I'm Nick, and I am an OHA-licensed psilocybin facilitator.
*By viewing this website, you confirm that you are 21 years or older.*
I'm offering professional psilocybin sessions in the beautiful state of Oregon. I am based in the Portland area.
Ballot 109 passed in 2020 and took effect in 2023, allowing trained and licensed facilitators to offer legal psilocybin services.
Psilocybin has the power to unlock profound insights, alleviate anxiety, and promote emotional well-being. I’ve seen this in the growing body of research and also witnessed it firsthand. It’s not just about the trip; it’s about integrating the insights to achieve a better quality of life.
My intention is to create a safe, supportive environment for clients. I truly believe in the importance of the container. That includes the guidelines for the session, having a safe space to be in, and my style of navigating the work.
Integration sessions are an important part of this process. We explore insights and "a-ha moments," and how to apply them in your day-to-day life.
In this legal approach, there are checks and balances at every step. The service center, facilitator, psilocybin "farm," and laboratory are all licensed by the state, and each one plays an integral part.
PSILOCYBIN AND CACAO
Aside from facilitation, I'm also an advocate for ceremonial cacao, by itself and also as a mushroom chocolate drink for psilocybin services. I've done a lot of research into the historical overlap between cacao (the original form of chocolate) and psilocybin in indigenous cultures of the Americas. For good reason, in legal services psilocybin must be grown and tested in approved facilities. But that means there's no direct connection to the history.
"Ceremonial cacao" is a term used in different ways. To me it means cacao that is grown and prepared in small batches, with a majority of indigenous people using at least some traditional practices in the preparation. In other words, to me the term "ceremonial cacao" is a direct reference to the indigenous history. And sourcing it through traceable, transparent channels can contribute to a humanitarian mission that, when combined with psilocybin, makes these services more equitable on a global scale.
Cacao isn't required in my sessions. But anecdotal reports say that it can offer a more pleasant flavor than mushrooms alone (even when compared to a mushroom tea), minimize nausea, and deepen insights during the experience.
